Today’s Hot Topic: The Deep Freeze

Today’s Hot Topic: The Deep Freeze

It’s cold, and with extreme and extended cold temperatures, our nation’s skin has become uncomfortably dry.

Social media and news channels are abuzz with conversations about the best remedies and products for dry, cracked, and chapped skin.

We want to shout from the Green Mountaintops: “Use our tried-and-true remedy! Bag Balm!” We created it long ago because of the exact weather and skin conditions so many North Americans are dealing with right now.

Fortunately, there are many voices doing this for us.

Here’s a quick roundup:

December 14, 2017: The Washingtonian’s December issue has our classic tin amongst “The Very Best Moisturizing Products To Protect Your Skin In Cold Dry Weather.”

December 29, 2017: Cassandra Day’s article, “Connecticut First Responders, Essential Workers Know How To Keep Warm In Frigid Temps” features veteran Electrician Ronald Bish, who slathers his hands with our salve in winter.

December 31, 2017: Women’s blog Laughing Athena published “Skin Comfort Recommendations For Winter’s Worst.” Her recommendation? “Start in the shower.” Bag Balm Soap is among 3 recommended products; and afterwards, moisturize with Bag Balm “For Serious, Industrial Moisturizing Needs.”

Whether you’re bundled in Bismarck, or shoveling in Charlotte, or huddling in Hartford – head into your local Walmart, CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens, Target, or Tractor Supply for some Bag Balm.

Here’s recent advice from Twitter users:
